Philly seems to be playing with heat and intensity. They are hot, now, which is the best time to be hot. It took a while for them to get going this season, so you can't really judge them by their record or even their stats. They have a strong offense and decent defense. Arizona is good, playing a bit over its head. I don't think anyone thought they would get this far, but I think that's it for this year.
Pittsburgh and Baltimore looks about even to me. Pittsburgh looked pretty good against Sand Diego, but San Diego can self-destruct on anybody. The Ravens are still a powerful defense with an okay offense, though I can't see the rookie quarterback making it all the way through the playoffs. I'm thinking Pittsburgh, but barely.
In the superbowl itself, I see Philly as a team that's been close for so long that they have a pretty big hunger. They are on a roll, and I believe they think they are overdue. Pittsburgh is playing well, but I don't think they have that extra gear they'll need. In fact, Philly could dominate.

As for the Eagles and Cardinals, I think this is another toss up. I give the edge to Philly since they have been playing very good football the last few weeks. I think they find a way to win. If the Cards manage to win, I don't think they have much chance against the Ravens or Steelers.
I think the winner of the Ravens-Steelers game goes on to win it all. But who knows.

Pick the Super Bowl. We've got Cards vs. Eagles and Ravens vs. Steelers on Sunday. Who do you like to advance?
Right now, Philly is favored by 3-3/12 and Pittsburgh is favored by 5 1/2. Do you agree?
What are the strengths and weaknesses of each team? Who has the best chance of going all the way?

I don't think anyone can really predict what will happen. The Steelers and Ravens are very evenly matched, and although Pittsburgh won both regular-season meetings, they were very close, one ending in overtime and the other on a controversial touchdown call. It is very hard to beat a team three times, and the Ravens won't want to lose to the Steelers three times in one season. As for the Eagles and Cardinals, I think this is another toss up. I give the edge to Philly since they have been playing very good football the last few weeks. I think they find a way to win. If the Cards manage to win, I don't think they have much chance against the Ravens or Steelers.

My NFC pick is shot...I had the Panthers. As we've seen in baseball with the White Sox, Rockies and Rays....the teams that are hot in the playoffs win. I have the Cardinals in the Super Bowl against the Ravens.

I'm taking the Cards all the way, because they've got all kinds of momentum. They've simply destroyed the two tun games they faced and they turned Jake Delhomme's birthday into a nightmare. On the other side I think that the Ravens will beat the Steelers in a close game, but then they'll lose tothe CArdinals in the Super Bowl by a touchdown.
