I actually saw this guy play (talk about old!), but don't remember details about his background. Well, both Wikipedia and the Pro Football Hall of Fame sites indicate he went to school at both St Mary's and Arizona State. Based on his career at Detroit, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh, I don't see how he would have found time to pursue sociology at Berkeley.
He was a heck of a running back - the best the Steelers had until Franco Harris came along.

Did John Henry Johnson attend UC Berkeley in the mid to late 60's?
I believe he and I were in the same upper division sociology class.

If you are talking about John Henry Johnson, Hall of Fame football player for the 1954-1956 San Francisco 49ers, 1957-1959 Detroit Lions, 1960-1965 Pittsburgh Steelers, 1966 Houston Oilers, then no.
