Why does it say "shake well" on ketchup bottles, but not ketchup packets?

Unlike the bottle, the packets are only used once. You shake well because, like every packed and sealed condimate: there are ingredients that sometimes don't always mix well. You'll see with the bottles every once in awhile a watery substance. You don't want that on your food, so you shake it to mix it with the thicker substances in the bottle, thus making ketchup.
