Where can I find good buffalo wings in Santa Monica, CA?

Within a reasonable distance of Lincoln and Colorado. This is very important so I'm offering a big tip.

Hi mshubin, Yummy, I love buffalo wings. Try:

The Shack
tel.310-449-1171
2518 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA
(at 25th St. 4 blocks over from Colorado)

According to Citysearch

The Eagles aren't the only hot birds at this rowdy Philly bar in Santa Monica. Hot wings are $2 off Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm.
(That means $6.75 for 6.)

enjoy!

Asker's Rating:
• We actually ended up going to Slice because The Shack doesn't have wings till 4:00. I'm picking this one as the best because the Shack has some really good wings and better atmosphere than the Slice.

There's a place in Santa Monica called The Slice that I've went to while on vacation, they have awesome wings. Here's the information:

310-451-7542
915 Wilshire Blvd
Santa Monica, CA 90401

There's also a link for a 2 for 1 deal on any menu items here: https://eol.entertainment.com/?locKey=01604800016RED00812480EPC00497999PRD00000056&partner=ls05&zipCode=90401

I love hot wings. I have never been to Wing Stop. I'd go there if I were you. Looks like the closest one to Santa Monica is Culver City.
Applebees used to good decent wings.

I can't believe this hasn't been posted this yet, so I am really happy to recommend:

"Thai-Style Wings - Chicken drumetts marinated in fresh ginger juice, then fried and tossed with our Thai-BBQ sauce" at Monsoon Cafe

Monsoon Cafe has awesome, affordable Thai food, and the wings are out of this world. AND you are right there on the Promenade, so the ambiance is great. AND the Promenade is only a couple blocks from where you are.

Here's the address

District: Downtown and Third Street Promenade
1212 Third Street Promenade
Santa Monica, CA 90401
Phone: (310) 576-9996

And now that you've walked all the way down there, you should stick around till dinner and go to my 2nd favorite restaurant in LA, which is JiRaffe, where "Chef-impresario Raphael Lunetta offers fine dining sans attitude, and simply outstanding, simply elegant food and swoon worthy." Right around the corner on Santa Monica proper. Flat out best restaurant in the area.

Your Home, If you Really don't want to hit the Food Joints

The ingredients below there is 1 key, beyond the obvious Louisiana hot sauce, the white vinegar. This sauce will be hot for the uninitiated. However if you like them hotter then add 1 dried and ground habanero pepper. This should make enough sauce for 40 wings.

* 6 ounces Louisiana Hot Sauce
* 1/2 stick of butter
* 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 tablespoon white vinegar
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* 2 tablespoon sugar
* 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Cooking your wings

The wings are best when crisp and dry. Deep-frying is popular. However we have found that grilling works even better. Grilling is less messy and healthier. Tip - Don't bother turning each individual wing. Simply use a spatula and "Flip". Randomness will insure that all sides will get their turn facing towards the heat source since you will be turning your wings every 15 minutes,

* On a Webber grill place frozen wings.
* Set for indirect heating.
* Grill for 1 hour 15 minutes turning every 15 minutes.
* Cook until crisp and dry.
* Take the wings off the grill and place into a bowl.
* Take the sauce off of heat.
* Using thongs, submerge 4-5 wing at a time in the sauce.
* Remove wings to serving platter.
* Poor any remaining sauce directly onto wings.
