Hangovers haven't really been scientifically attributed to any one cause, but dehydration and B-12 deficiency are commonly believed to cause them. Filling your body with electrolytes by eating is a common remedy.
Gatorade really seems to hit all of these causes pretty well. You'll get a majority of the chemicals you need while being soothed by a pleasant familiar flavor.
