For my birthday, a coworker who knew I loved spicy food bought me a couple of jars of salsa from a company called Chit's. I had never heard of it, which intrigued me because I've tried quite a few salsas in my day.
Well one of the jars she gave me was definitely one of the best and spiciest salsas I've ever had. It's called Hot Chit Habanero Salsa, and I highly recommend it. It definitely packs some heat but also has some awesome flavor to it and is extremely fresh tasting.

My favorite, though, is Newman's Own. The flavor is great, they use good ingredients, and 100% of the profits go to charity. All around a great deal.

As I said, it's not quite as good as fresh made salsa, but it's pretty close and it tastes fresher than any canned salsa I've ever had. Their Perfect Hot salsa has just the right amount of fire to it for my tastes. Furthermore, their salsa is pretty much just that; tomatoes, onions, jalapeƱoes, and spices. That's it. They add no water, oils, glutens, or preservatives to their recipe.
I will admit that I can't have it all the time as it is kind of expensive compared to more commercially available brands, but the times I do completely make up for it. If I'm not careful, I'll go through the entire jar in one sitting.
The good thing is that even if you can't get the grocery stores in your area to carry Texas Texas salsa, you can always order it from their website and have it shipped. I just may do that with some of their more exotic salsas, like their Mango Almond salsa and their Peach Pecan salsa, as even in Texas it's hard to find those in grocery stores.

I like the chunkier types of salsa. Tostitos is a good one because it has a better flavor than the cheaper salsas. I think it goes well with Tostitos chips as well. My favorite, though, is Newman's Own. The flavor is great, they use good ingredients, and 100% of the profits go to charity. All around a great deal.

I consider myself an amateur connoisseur of salsa, and while freshly made restaurant salsa really can't be beat when it's done well, my favorite jarred salsa has to be Eddie Sanderson's Texas Texas salsa. That's it.
