Five Guys Burgers and Fries. This chain used to be restricted to the D.C. area but has recently expanded all over the eastern seaboard. It's even better than Whataburger...which in turn is better that Hardee's/Carl's Junior.

Great fries and hot dogs, too. If you have peanut allergies, stay out. Otherwise, hurry in.

If you're talking fast food, it's Hardee's Six Dollar (same as Carl Junior's). No doubt about it.

My personal vote for best is the ones I make myself that have Gorgonzola cheese and sauteed pears and onions in them.

Fast food-Jumbo Jack or Whopper without the sauce and with mustard.

Home-medium patty (not thick) large whole wheat bun, mustard, iceberg lettuce with full leaves, Vlasic stacker dill pickles, two slices of beefsteak tomato, and a thick spread of home made guacamole.

Being in Canada I probably shouldn't be putting in my 2cents worth but, I also think that the best burger anywhere is the one you BBQ at home, nice and big, but not too thick, and then a half a table full of fixins' for everyone to top off their burger just the way they want.

I love Ruby Tuesday's basic cheeseburger. Sooooo juicy. And the fries that come with it are peppered, just the way I like em. :)
