I can only tell you what I think from what I have tried. My two favorites are Milagro and Patron. I love the smooth taste of each. Easy on the pallet and a pretty decent buzz. Of the two Milagro is my favorite.

I like several of the new brands, but my favorite of those is Sol de Mexico. They have a few types of tequila, including the aged (anejo, pronounced ahn-yay-ho) - that one is especially good for sipping at the end of a long day!
