A cheese steak is a is a sandwich, traditionally served on a long roll (such as a hero or submarine roll). Shaved steak is grilled and placed in the sandwich. Cheese (typically cheese wiz or American cheese) is then melted on the meat and then all of this is placed on the roll. Onions are often added as well.
