Use oregano sparingly for those people who may have more sensitive tastes. You can buy italian seasoning to put on the table for those who like more spices.
In recipes, I use about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of dried oregano.
On the other hand, you can use a lot of basil - I differ from carriep on that point. But fresh basil is better than dried.

I use oregano when making the sauce. A small amount of dried oregano will go a long way.
