Ole! I love taco night! This will do way better for you than McCormick's. (you can't trust any name that Irish with taco seasoning)
* 2 teaspoons dehydrated onion
* 1 teaspoon chili powder
* 1/2 teaspoon cayenne or to taste
* 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
* 1 teaspoon instant garlic
* 1 teaspoon cumin
Mix it all with 1/2 cup of water & add it to a pound of browned beef & simmer for about 10 minutes.

I'd like to make some taco-like seasoning from scratch. Suggestions?
A recipe that you have actually used and like would be great, but just a list of herbs and spices that you would use is acceptable too. I tend to use McCormick's mix when I can, but I'd like to try it on my own this time.
