Gin and Champagne? Any cocktail sugguestions using both or is that just wrong?

It's not wrong at all! my wife loves this old-fashioned cocktail:

FRENCH 75

2 oz Gin
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Simple Syrup
Shake and strain into cocktail glass no ice.
Top with a splash of Sparkling Wine/Champagne
