I am getting together with a group of friends that does a potluck. Then, we all bring our own meat to grill.

At last count, the menu includes
Hot dogs
Tri-tip roast
Veggies and dip
Alcoholic tropical slush
Some kind of ice cream cake

But there will be a lot more there to have. Should be delicious!

My menu for 4th of July is grilled chicken, fresh corn on cob, potato salad, pinto beans, garden salad and watermelon. The grandkids love watermelon.

We're having pulled pork sandwiches with french fries and pickles. And ice cream margarita pie for dessert.

We had typical menu with burgers, hot dogs and chicken but I also threw together some kabobs. Meat on a stick - yum ! I cut up some chicken into cube size pieces and alternated skewering the chicken with cut up veggies - peppers, onions, mushrooms, zuccini and potatoes on the stick. Brushed half with a mixture of garlic and olive oil and the other half with BBQ sauce. Also skewered some shrimp and did the same thing. They were gobbled up quickly!

Isn´t chicken or potatoe salad a great picnic meal?
Or some sallad with lots of vegetables
