Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do with two pounds of fresh cherries?

You can eat them fresh. Then can be stored in plastic bag(don't wash them) in the fridge for couple of days. Wash them before eating. They taste better at room temp. So keep out for a couple of hours before eating.
To freeze them, remove the pits and freeze.
