Yes! I grew up eating it this way. It's a bit healthier, if you believe in the germicidal properties of honey. And, if it's true U.S. honey, it will have no corn syrup. And if it's local and raw, it may also have the benefits of pollen against allergies!
We often had it on toast, as well.

Totally! All the time. My husband and I have peanut butter and honey sandwiches all the time. We figure that honey is better than Jam because it's natural sugar. And since none of the ingredients needs to be refrigerated, the sandwich doesn't spoil.

My Husband won't eat honey. And I love honey in everything. And I never thought about it not spoiling...thats very true.
