A mint does not make your mouth cold. The menthol in the mint triggers receptors in the mouth that sense cold. When the signal reaches the brain it is interpreted as cold. In short, it is just an illusion.

Yes, a mint do make our mouth cold. The reason behind it is the presence of menthol molecules in them,that triggers a sensation of coldness in our mouth.

yes a mint makes our mouth cold.and if we drink water(not chilled) after that when it goes down it give a very pleasant feeling of chill.i can't explain it how i feel like.just give a try if you never tried it.

It doesn't actually make your mouth colder though... it only feels like it. There's no decrease in temparture
