Yes, I do. I find that I can feed my family much healthier, and for a lot less money, than buying pre-made meals. The kind of food I normally serve my family would cost upwards of $50 a plate in most restaurants: organic, pasture-fed foods using interesting vegetables, cheeses, and spices from around the world, combined in all kinds of ways. A sample might be:
Starter: Onion Crispetta (sort of an onion/egg "chip")
Soup: Vichyssoise (cold potato and leek soup)
Main Course: Salmon Lasagne, salad with homemade tarragon vinaigrette, side of haricots verts with browned butter
Or another:
Starter: Avocado Salad
Soup: Cauliflower Soup with Gruyere
Main Course: Chicken with Creamy Horseradish Sauce; salad of baby lettuces and homemade herb vinaigrette
Most of the recipes I do take no more than about 20-30 minutes. I find that when I plan things out like this we can eat very, very well on very little.

I didn't get back from my Mother's Day out to edit my answer, but it's possible to do great things with a crock pot, and I do that often too. A little planning makes possible a lot of terrific meals for a fraction of the cost of prepared meals or restaurant meals.

We have pre-made meals for days when we just don't have time or energy to cook. Far more often than not, though, we do home-cooked meals, especially for dinner, because they're cheaper and taste better (to us, anyway). We also like having that control over our food - if I make lasagna at home, for example, then I pick exactly how much cottage cheese I want.
