Peanut Butter Cornflake Crunch Bars
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
* 1 cup light corn syrup
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1 cup smooth peanut butter
* 10 cups cornflakes cereal

DIRECTIONS
1. Cook syrup and sugar until mixture comes to a boil. Stir constantly; do not overcook.
2. Remove from heat, add peanut butter, and stir until smooth. Pour mixture over cornflakes in a large bowl. Mix until cereal is thoroughly coated.
3. Spread in a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan and press down lightly with buttered hands. When cool, cut into squares.

Crispy Peanut Butter Bars
Ingredients:
* 6.5 cups cornflakes cereal
* 1 cup brown sugar
* 1 cup peanut butter
* 1 cup light corn syrup
* 1 tbsp butter
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 cup chocolate chips
Preparation:
1. Prepare a 9x13 pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Place the cornflakes in a large bowl and lightly crush them with your hands for a minute, until they are small to medium-sized flakes.
3. Place the brown sugar, peanut butter, salt, and corn syrup in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly, and heat the syrup until the sugar is melted and all of the ingredients are well-combined.
4. Remove the pan from the heat, and immediately pour the hot syrup over the cornflakes. Stir until the cereal is well-coated.
5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, and spread it evenly in the pan with a greased spoon or spatula, pressing down gently.
6. Allow the bars to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Once they are mostly cool, microwave the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring after every minute to prevent overheating. Once the chocolate is melted, spread it over the top of the bars in a thin, even layer.
7. Refrigerate the bars to set the chocolate, then cut them into small squares to serve. Bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a week, and for several weeks in the refrigerator.

Anyone have the recipe for corn pop treats that used to be on the inside of the box?
I don't remember the correct amounts, or even every ingredient, but it involved Corn Pops, Corn Flakes, peanut butter, corn syrup or honey, and peanuts were optional. There may have been a few other ingredients as well.
You mixed them up and made them into bars similar to Rice Krispie Squares in style, but a totally different taste. I haven't been able to find this particular recipe online.

• I appreciate the effort, and the recipe at the top is the closest I've seen. And evidently the closest anyone on here can find as well.
I'm going to try making these next week, modified a bit. I'll be leaving out the sugar, and using half corn pops and half corn flakes (5 cups each) for the cereal. I think that should get me in the right range for the taste I'm remembering...

Again, sounds like it would taste great, but this recipe is much more than what I've made before. Thanks though! With two recommendations for this one, I just might have to get some pecans and try it out!

½ box Rice Chex cereal
½ box Corn Pops cereal
2 c. almonds
2 c. shredded coconut
1 stick butter
1 stick margarine
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. sugar
In large bowl combine 1st 4 ingredients. In large pot, melt butters then add sugars. Bring to full boil & continue boiling for 4 to 5 minutes stirring constantly. Stir liquid into dry mix & spread out on greased cookie sheet. Allow to cool, then break apart & return to bowl.

All right, I'm giving up. The closest thing I found is this one which uses corn pops, corn syrup, and peanuts(optional), but popcorn rather than the corn flakes you're looking for, and peanut butter morsels not regular peanut butter. It's linked as my source. Good luck finding your recipe!
