1 cup of buttermilk
sugar
teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 butter
cup of flour
cup of cornmeal
2 eggs
drop of vanilla extract
honey
melt the butter in a nice sized skillet on low heat. Once its melted, take it off of the heat and stir in about 2/3 cup of sugar. Then add your eggs and beat the mixture until its mixed well. Then add you baking soda, buttermilk, vanilla extract, flour, and cornmeal. After adding each ingredient, make sure you stir and mix it well before adding another.
in a greased cake pan, go ahead and pour the mixture. put it in the oven at about 400. It should take about 30 minutes. You can check and make sure its done by putting a toothpick in the middle and seeing if it comes out wet. If its wet, its not done.
Once done, drizzle a small amount of honey on top while its still warm. Not too much or it will make it sticky and soggy.
