I'm playing a song for my grandpa's funeral. He was a fan of trains and westerns. Any suggestions?
Funeral is on Saturday, so the sooner the better. I'm thinking a classic western song, preferably one that mentions a train, though I don't know many. I'm a quick learner, so don't worry about difficulty or tabs/chords. Thanks!

Have you considered "On The Atcheson, Topeka And The Sante Fe"? It was a big hit in the forties and was popular for years afterward, which may put it in your grandfather's generation's music. It's not a western song but about a western railroad and I'm pretty sure I've heard it used in classic western movies.

The Wreck Of The Old 97 - Johnny Cash. Great song, about a train and death, and easy enough to learn quickly.
