Warning About Fixed Rate Mortgages Questions
Question

Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
I HATE my mortgage company - they are the worst. Is there a fairly simple way to get it transferred to another company?
The company is Taylor Bean and Whitaker in Ocala, FL. My original mortgage was with someone else, and has been transferred to them for about 2 years now. Their website is almost completely useless, and it is virtually impossible to call and speak to a human.
Short of refinancing with another company, is there a way to simply get it transferred?

You will have to call around to a few mortgage companies and they will call it a refinance because there is no way to just transfer a mortgage like that. You will incur fees so shop around for a deal. You may even end up with a lower rate than you have now, all dependent upon your creditworthiness of course. I recommend www.bankrate.com to start with. I lowered a couple of my credit card rates using the info on that site (and so did my sister). Another site to check out would be www.lowermybills.com Good luck !
