My wife is Korean and we eat in KTOWN a couple of times a month. I've been to 30-40 places in KTOWN over the past five years easily.
1. I love Soot Bull Jeep, which is really a down and dirty experience. They use charcoal--not just gas.
3136 W 8th St Los Angeles, CA 90005 - (213) 387-3865

Here is a photo I found on Google:

2. ChoSun Galbee is clean, modern and high-quality. I like it equal to Soot Bull Jeep.
3330 W. Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90019 Telephone:(323)734-3330

As you can see it is much cleaner and nicer (and more expensive).

Citysearch named Sa Rit Goi Korean Restaurant on 3189 West Olympic Boulevard as the absolute best Korean Restaurant (and BBQ) in Los Angeles. While I have never been there, it does look delicious.
