How will Apple Stock (aapl) be effected when Steve Jobs dies?

I'm a big believer in Apple, and I do not think the company will suddenly "run out of ideas" once Steve Jobs dies. However, that won't prevent the stock from (temporary) plummeting when Steve Jobs dies.

If you owned lots of Apple stock, what would you do if you got the word Steve Jobs died?

I definitely think it would drop for a time. Maybe month while the company restructures and they name a successor. Depending on who's named and how he works out will be the keypoint in how long the stock stays low or if it rebounds, and how long it will take.

It will probably drop, and then flip-flop around until they find out if the successor is going to be another Sculley, in which case it will stay down.

It will plunge at first, then go back up when the new CEO shows his skill. Of course, Steve will die at some point, but lets hope he stays good for now, he is a cancer survivor.
