Question

Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
A woman inherits her husbands IRA. Is she entitled to have it mirrored in her name and keep the CD?
The bank wants to take away the rate locked into the CD under her husbands name and force her to put it in a new account under her own name. First they told her she 'had' to sign the form opening a new account, then threatened she would be in trouble with the IRS.
Provide even a bit of helpful insight and I'll ask follow up questions with a new tip.
