Funny enough, I just noticed our local Burger King had a sign up for the "Angry Whopper" up yesterday, before I even saw the commercial. I figured it was some kind of spicy whopper, but since I wasn't in a hurry, I decided to give it a try.
The thing's got a ton of toppings. You usually dont' see that many toppings on a fast-food burger. So that was cool.
It's pretty good, but a lot depends on your level of spice. Some have said it's not very spicy, I'd agree, but it does have a kick to it. I'm not a spice fiend, but I like the flavor that a touch of spice brings, so this was right up my alley.
I am a lover of fried onions on sandwiches, so that was a nice touch.
I should have known that the sandwich was super-bad after seeing the fried onions, and the cheese, AND the bacon, so it'll probably be the last Angry Whopper I have, unless I can convince The Mister to split one with me sometime. It is a good sandwich, but does not quite rise to the level of unabashed craving that would make it worth the caloric risk.
All and all, some extremely clever marketing for a decent sandwich.
Excuse me while I go run a few miles now.

I wish they would bring back the spicy tendercrisp sandwich..

My only complaint is that it wasn't really that spicy, and definitely not nearly as spicy as they want you to believe in their advertising. If anything, this Whopper is merely disgruntled. Still worth trying if you don't mind a few clogged arteries.

Has anyone tried Burger King's new Angry Whopper? How is it?
It has 888 calories and 55 grams of fat. I don't eat fast food often, but I must admit the commercials for this burger are making me hungry. Is it worth it?

• The consensus seems to be that it's very tasty but not quite as spicy as advertised. That's okay. I like spicy food, but I don't need something to be covered with peppers to enjoy it.
Looks like I'll have to give it a try when I have 888 calories to spare. Thanks everyone!

It's pretty good although it's not nearly as massive or as hot as the commercial makes it out to be. Seeing now how many calories and how much fat it has kind of grosses me out, but oh well it was good at the time :) I wish they would bring back the spicy tendercrisp sandwich..

I like the classic Whopper, but this version adds pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, onion rings and a special "angry" sauce, all of which I liked enough to enjoy it even more than the original. My only complaint is that it wasn't really that spicy, and definitely not nearly as spicy as they want you to believe in their advertising. If anything, this Whopper is merely disgruntled. Still worth trying if you don't mind a few clogged arteries.

Wow I really wish I hadn't just read how many calories and grams of fat are in those things! I am a fan of the original Whopper but the Angry Whopper was a nice change. The only thing I found spicy was the jalapeno peppers but even they weren't very hot.

There's a fun review on one of my favorite blogs, The Impulsive Buy. He said it was pretty good but not that spicy, but it's best to click the source link and read his amusing review.

The photo on that blog is also nice, because it gives a good comparison between the "TV" Angry Whopper and the "Real" Angry Whopper that you get through the drive-thru.

It's terrific....I like the spiciness. Great commercials for this sandwich from the people at Burger King as well.
