They have great sandwiches in a number of styles, from regular to deli to wraps and subs, any of which can be made bunless; their sides go beyond fries with things like mozzarella sticks and jalapeƱo poppers; they have a good variety of sandwiches; their pies and jamocha shakes are good. There is a lot there, whether you're doing a Standard American Diet (way of eating), or a low fat, or a low carb/diabetic.
Their bathrooms and facilities are clean, and like McDonald's, they seem to understand that families with kids need a few extra napkins and plain water sometimes!
My other favorite, although it's a bit expensive for fast food, is Jimmy John's. It's like Subway on steroids. All kinds of great sandwiches in three sizes; "Unwiches" (lettuce wraps) for those who can't eat grains; things like sprouts, avocado, premium meats, AND they deliver! When you order more than one, the first one is usually done before you've finished paying. And all the fun and philosophical signs on the wall make it an interesting place to eat.

It's hard to find a good burrito in the mainstream restaurant world, especially one as as absolutely postutely stacked as the ones Chipotle serves. I've had burritos there with 3-inch diameters! Though their burritos definitely pack a caloric punch, there is great variety and all the ingredients are fresh.
The atmosphere is also nice. The company doesn't fight existing architecture when establishing new franchises and the new buildings they do erect have a clean, modern feel to them. It looks more upscale than a simple fast food joint, yet the brickwork also makes it homey.
And let's face it, their website is just fun to play with: http://www.chipotle.com/

I'm not lucky enough to have a Red Robin or Sonic near me. And some restaurants, like Taco Bell (which I love) don't have too many options for someone who can't eat grains, so I'll go with Arby's. http://www.restaurantfranchise.com/franchise/47148/ZorContent/arbys3.jpg
