I do eye makeup for sis all the time! she has the most gorgeous green eyes...
to really bring out the color of your eyes you want to pick one of three things...a neutral that compliments, a contrasting color (in your case bronze, or purple tones), or a coordinating color (in your case green).
The key to this trick is not to pick colors that scream COLOR!
Go to a higher end beauty boutique and look at the various eyeshadows they have set up...often they are arranged by color so all the green shades are near each other. Obviously if you're going for a more toned down look, pick a shade that is more subtle and sheer....perhaps pick a trio of shades so you can layer them in order to tone down the green.
Green eyes are best with less color because they speak for themselves. If you have more hazel green eyes, play up your lash line with some dark brown liner and green/yellow shimmer right above your line and in the corner. blend them to make it less harsh. If your eyes are a bluer green, again, play up the lashline, but use a more opalescent white liner above and blend. Less is more.
Also...invest in a mascara that is blue black or brown black. Blue black works for blue/green eyes...brown black works for hazel/green eyes. Same with eyeliners. Lining your eyes for an evening out will really make them pop.
Have fun!

Kelly green shadow, bright or pale, with forest green liner would be neat
Or switch to khaki tan shadow, with medium brown liner
If your green shadow is too dark, put a coating over it of white or pale ivory frost. Experiment both on your inner wrist (it is smooth there) and on your eyes.
Just be sure to wash your eye make up tools between uses. Throw away any eye make up after about 3 to 6 months, to prevent contamination.
just kidding but....Do NOT let your boyfriend steal your stuff!!!

Anyone have makeup tips for green eyes?
(my gf is asking--not me!!)
"I have green eyes, and I was wondering what colors would look the best. -Blue looks awful!- I usually wear shades of pink/wine and some purple. I've gotten that Almay set that makes your eye color 'pop', and that's okay if I want to wear green eyeshadow. Any suggestions? I want some color!"

The second one is BEAUTIFUL, but I'm just not that bold, lol. I've got some green shadows, but they are all so light I might as well not be wearing anything.

Same color or a contrast color will make it better.. Same color, I mean if your eyes are green, then use a green shade.., Contrast color.. Use hot color like orange, pink, or better check the color wheel to be sure.. Green color is a cold color and the opposite of this is the hot ones.. but If you haven't decided yet.. I suggest that wear a sunglasses first.. =p.. By the way check this out.. I'm sure that you will be interested on this.. Watch how the guy use sunglasses to attract the hot girl.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHQpRt7vd3Q
