For handwritten notebooks, the easiest way would be to cut the notebook open, then put it through a sheetfed scanner (such as that which is part of fancy office photocopiers). That would give you images or PDFs of the notebook contents.

Are there any effective ways to digitize collections of documents such as notebooks?
Digitizing notebooks would be useful because it would reduce paper clutter. Any suggestions?

• Thanks. I think it would make sense to use a sheetfed scanner because it wold reduce the amount of work required to digitize each page.

You can do it with a digital camera, I have heard of some libraries doing this but could not find that link.
