German Kaiser Wilhelm sent naval ships to Queen Victoria's funeral? What were the names of these vessels?
Is there any information about the names of the German naval vessels or any manifests on who served on them. I know that my great grand father was supposed to have been on one of the ships but, I can't find any information on this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many German records were lost during WW II and I'm hoping that someone who knows about British history might be able to help me out

Hello zigeunerand thank you for your question:
"German Kaiser Wilhelm sent naval ships to Queen Victoria's funeral? What were the names of these vessels?"
The names of the vessels were:
Nymphe
Victoria Luise
Hagen
Baden
"all with blue-gray colored upper works. The Hagen was flying Prince Henry of Prussia's flag, yellow arms on a white field"

Hi there, that's a quite some research you've embarked yourself into, i wish you the best of luck. I found this article from the New York Times prior to the funeral it does mention the ship the Kaiser took to England for King Edwards funeral, perhaps it was the same...The Yacht Hohenzollern
