When throwing a Bachelorette party, who pays for it?

Does the Maid of Honor do that or the whole bridal party split it? Is there a proper etiquette for this?

Typically, the guests all chip in to cover the cost of the bachelorette party. According to brides.com section on wedding showers and parties etiquette, the bachelorette party is considered one event where the hosts aren't expected to foot the bill. Everyone also usually chips in to cover the cost of the bride-to-be's food and drinks.

There are no set etiquette rules about this, and it's fine to set up any arrangement for the funding that works best for you. I've attended bachelorette parties where everything was covered by the host, and we just bought our own drinks. I've also been to ones where we were all asked to contribute beforehand.

The people who attend it, as in Bachelor parties the best man usually organizes it and collects what he can from the men attending, hopefully in advance. In lighter news, most churches and Girl Scout Troops put aside cookie and donation money each year to help the underfunded Bachelorette party crisis.

Agreed. When I through my friend's Bachelor party, we all split the costs fairly evenly. I don't see any reason it would be different for the ladies.

The maid of honor usually plans it. However, the MOH and the bridesmaid usually split the brides ride, drinks....etc. Everyone else should be responsible for their own way. Look at the video posted below

Well I know that 20 years ago it was the maid of honor. The Bridesmaids
could chip in to help out but were not required to. But so many things have
changed I really dont know what is proper today. But I wish you the very best
