In a pitcher, soak some teabags. Run some lukewarm bathwater and get in. With an old rag, dip into the pitcher of tea (hint: the stronger the tea water the better). Dab your skin gently, soaking it with the tea water. Do not rinse! Let air dry and repeat as necessary. Never use Noxzema! It will speed up the drying and cause itching.

The best thing that has worked for me is taking a tea bath. It sounds strange but, works wonders. I am a burner. I don't tan. You can't actually get rid of a sunburn once you have one, but you can certainly mitigate the symptoms. The best combination that I have found is to use a heavy duty moisturizer, repeatedly during the day, you do not want your skin to dry out, and take an anti-inflammatory medication such as Aleve or Motrin. It can help with any pain and reduce the inflammation of your skin. Cool baths can also help. I have included a link to the Mayo Clinic's website below with some additional information. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sunburn-treatment/AN01423
