Depends on what kind of rain we are talking about. If it is torrential then I might decide not to go out unless I have to. But if it is just raining lightly or mildly I will go out... I actually like being out in the rain.

On Mau, it depends on the amount of rain, the time of year and the wind speed. You don't go out when you get 6 inches of rain in 24 hours and you don't go out in a light rain with 60 mile wind. Or the other hand, some times it can be raining cats and dogs and home and you drive 10 miles and it is dry.

Normally, I would stay in. In the Netherlands (where I live), rain is usually cold, and not comfortable. This weekend, however, I am planning to go hiking on a non-stop 100 kilometer trip, regardless of weather. It is for a good cause, Oxfam Novib, so I will get out of there rain or shine...
