How to recycle an empty laser printer toner cartridge?

What is the best / easiest way to recycle an empty toner cartridge? I don't need to make any money on it, but it should be an easy thing to do. Otherwise, the empty toner cartridge will just go in the trash.

Thanks for doing the right thing!

I refill and reuse them. It's surprisingly easy to refill most Laser toner cartridges. I also try my best to cut down on waste. There are several companies that sell kits to do it. I deal with: http://fillserv.com They have always treated me right.

If refilling them is not an option for you There are some places that actually buy them from you : http://www.ecyclegroup.com is an example.

Apparently, ecyclegroup.com will send you a pre-paid postage label to ship your recycleable mp3 player, cellphone, and toner cartridges. Unfortunately, they can only take bulk submissions. I don't want to wait until I have 10 toner cartridges. :)
