How does one go about choosing their first canoe?

I am interested in taking up canoeing. What should I look for in a good starting canoe?

I recommend you check with the folks at LL Bean. They offer a number of canoes on their web site. Looks like price, capacity, weight etc all play a role in your selection.

They have an ask the expert option on each product display. LL Bean has been famous for their customer service for decades. Happy canoeing!
