Will the Michael Jackson burial be televised? Should it be?

Joe Jackson confirmed plans for Michael Jackson's burial today, stating he will be buried on August 29, 2009, what would have been his 51st birthday, at the Forest Lawn Ceremony in Los Angeles, California.

Do you think the ceremony should be televised? Why or why not?

ugh ...

I am so tired of this MJ talk ... I just talked to a friend of mine about this last night !

WHY is it that everything that goes on with this MJ tragic story has to be on TV or published period ?

It is sad that he died but so did a bunch of other people that day and the fact that he was famous just pushed this issue to the top 10 !

He died - yes ... they had his Body at a live show at Staples Center for the Fans to be able to say Good Bye ( by the was just nothing but a big cash scam if u ask me ) and it should be time for his family to be able to buy their son, bother, cousin and Father without cameras and without some Fans who just knew him because of his music and Fame !
Does anybody in " reality " think about his kids or his Family ?
Seriously have you ever thought about how it would feel if you bury your loved one and some stranger stands there crying over YOUR family member
right next to you and you have no idea who this person is ?

There was enough public involved in this ever since he has died - his kids were put out there with all this " Who is the real Father " - " who will have custody of them " - will MJs Father tread the kids like he treated MJ" stuff !
Seriously people need to learn how to respect others !
It seems like they never get enough from drama - they need to see up close how the family is suffering and how his kids react to this !

Move on people - seriously - if you would only spend half of the time with actually important news !!!
That day he died he wasnt the only one who did - many people did - people who were also famous or people who were also loved and left loved ones behind in pain or who died for YOUR freedom so you can waste it at home on your sofa watching others suffering from a loss !

Give that Family some space already and move on to important stuff like spending time with your own family - if you learned anything out of his death it should be that you never know when it could be over for you - so why waste it with being noisy on other peoples pain instead of making sure you said your I love you's and counted you blessings !!!

what do they say : move on there is nothing to see !

If you want to show some respect to him and his family and think you have the right to walk up to his gave to give him you last ( unknown ) good -byes you should wait 2 or 3 days after he is buried and then do it !

I certainly hope not. I feel like the media has devoted more than enough time to Michael Jackson coverage, and I do not want to see more television time given to him, when there are so many more important things in the world (Healthcare Reform; 60,000 children losing their health coverage under CA's new budget; Afghanistan) to talk about.

I also do think that the family should be awarded some modicum of privacy, though it doesn't seem like they necessarily want it.

I think they wouldn't televise it... they're keeping a lot of information from the public regarding some details about the burial.

I wish they would televise it. Why? Cause Michael Jackson is the King of Pop. He is a public figure that's why I think the people have the rights to know or to see at least where and how will be such great person will be buried.

BUT, I also wish that even though everything's being showed to all, other people will know their limit.

Television is driven by market demand. I don't watch it myself. If the morbid demand is there, they should televise it.

I also think it would be a good idea for some station to install a GRAVECAM in the coffin. That way some internet or cable channel could broadcast him indefinitely, and viewers could watch him slowly molder.

I was thinking of the CHEESECAM http://www.responsesource.com/releases/rel_display.php?relid=30471
and this would have just as much action and perhaps more human interest.

I am not sure is his burial will be televised
but I think that it shouldn't.
This man has been around cameras almost his whole life and I think that it
will be more respectful to him and his family if they didn't post it up on the news.
The ceremony before was for everyone that he knew, to pay their respects to
him.
Not that that's over, they should let the family have the last moments with him
alone.
The person has passed away, so what we should do is just let him rest in
peace.
People can be so rude.
He was a human being too. We should treat him with the respect that we give
to others that have passed away
