Because like so many things in life, the journey is what is important, not the destination.
Did you ever stop to think how Earhart, a woman -think about that, a woman! - in 1920s and 1930s America forged a career as a pilot? I know the bare facts about it and find it absolutely amazing. I'd love to see it fleshed out.
Plus there are some details of her life that most people don't know a lot about. Did you know she was married when she disappeared? I wonder what her husband thought about her disappearance (Did he buy into any of the conspiracy theories? For how long did he hang on to hope she was alive?).
And did you know she launched a clothing line through major department stores? She was more commercial than most believe. Does that mean she was more shallow? Or more savvy?
There's so much to dive into, and I can't wait to see Hillary Swank in those old planes and feel the rush of seeing her take off.

Storytelling is an art, great storytellers are rare. I have listened to, read and watched many stories over and over in my life. I can't count how many times I have watched the Empire Strikes Back or American Psycho. I love those stories and continue to be interested in them even though I know the endings.

Too true! For the same reason I would never watch The Bounty, Glory, Tombstone, Pearl Harbor, The Aviator or Titanic... We ALL know the ending to those, so why watch?

I think it would still be interesting to see. I don't know much about her life before her disappearance so I would go see it. I love historical movies because I love learning about the lives people lived and what their dreams and goals were. I find them very inspirational!
