We're on a tear to make everything profitable at Mahalo, including the Mahalo Daily. It turns out that the weekly show "this week in YouTube" makes money but the other shows don't. So, we want to focus on just that show and do one or two a week. That didn't work for Leah so she's moving on to another adventure. We wish her the best.
We're going to be doing one or two This Week in youTube style shows a week with Lon Harris and a rotating co-host that will include some big names in podcasting that you've definitely heard of!
Stay tuned!

• Nothing like getting an answer from the horse's mouth (but I'm not calling you a horse, Mr. Calacanis.) While I'll miss the daily aspect of Mahalo Daily, I understand.
Rotating co-host suggestions: I wouldn't mind seeing some of the Vlog Idol contestants again, particularly Sarah @w00d.

My best guess is that her Vlog Idol contract is up and either she or Mahalo had to make a choice to stay or not. This way they save a little cash in a down economy. Calacanis is not afraid to cut costs when he knows that keeping Mahalo running is better than what happened to places like Podango. He can always rehire when the economy shows signs of improving. I'm not sure if the economy has anything to do with Leah, but my best guess is her contract was up or she just found a better job. I will miss her greatly though.
