Oooh, I know exactly how to answer this!
I want Hayao Miyazaki to direct the film about my life.
In case you're not familiar with him, he is the creator and director of many brilliant and popular anime films - all of which are deep, political, artistic, emotional, and made for adults! Many are anti-war and embrace the mythology of spirits and nature. Plus, they're just breath-taking films.
http://ulp.ottawa-anime.org/miyazaki.jpg
Yes, that's right, my life would be animated! He would paint my life as an artistic wonderland full of soul, adventure, and just a hint of honesty that I, the heroine, am not entirely perfect. The celebrity voices in his films would be very colorful and flattering, and many of my friends would be drawn as things like dragon, hamsters, or stink spirits.
My mother would probably resemble Yubaba
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4pmUNQE7llI/SekehS-uM-I/AAAAAAAAIKA/Qu9xJdoaW5c/s400/spirited_away.jpg
And I would probably resemble Princess Mononoke
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_hMpJ-p4YVqk/Sb-sl7MiYWI/AAAAAAAABMM/7n9ieKhwS44/s400/princess+mononoke.jpg
And the rest my family and friends would probably look a bit like this (my husband would be Turnip Head)
http://www.canmag.com/images/front/moviereview/howl2.jpg
Or maybe my husband would be more like Haku, and I would be more like Chihiro

Miyazaki has exceptional talent for arcing a story to draw a range of emotions - from heavy drama and tragedy, to light-hearted whim and humor. He's just oddball enough to capture my frivolous, silly side, with the skill to portray my moody bastard side equally well.
And what an honor it would be, to have my life animated by Miyazaki. I would be immortalized as an artistic masterpiece. I can't imagine!

The soundtrack should be entirely instrumental and done by Radiohead.
I would have to go with color production because I think there is extra room in a color production for sub-text and hidden symbolism.
Turn the volume down on the 8 1/2 trailer and listen to it with the Raidohead track instead.

-Robert Luketic (If you saw the ugly truth, you would understand why)
What genre would it listed under? (romantic comedy, film noir or tragedy?)
-Comedy, cause the stuff that happens in my life is just mind bottling
What kind of soundtrack or music would you use?
-Mostly Alternative (It usually gets REALLY catchy in movies and im an alternative(not the music but different =p) kind of guy!), and some unmainstream people (Lemon Demon, Mc Lars)
Black and white, or color?
-Color Of Course >.<
Mine would definatly have to include all the pranks we used to pull on my teachers (of course when I was younger) we ended up taking 25 dry erase markers, 4 staplers, 1 pencil sharpener and 8 erasers.....she slowly thought she was going crazy....then at the end of the year they all seemed to magically appear on her desk in a tower of legos.....We were mean back in the days!

So far there were times when it was a Disney family movie, times when it was an angst-ridden tragic love story, times when it was pure rom com, times when it was a sweeping epic, times when it was a tale of magical transformations, times when it was all gritty realism.
However the rest of it might be a tale of spending a great deal of time on Mahalo. There is no genre for that is there? :)
All things considered, I'll go for Quentin Tarantino. He might just be able to do justice to the weirdness of it all. And we'll use the soundtrack from Pulp Fiction.

The director of my life story would be John Landis, the man who brought us such classics as "The Blues Brothers 2000" and "Beverly Hills Cop III."
What genre would it be listed under?
1930s-style silent self-parodying comedy.
What kind of soundtrack or music would you use?
You'd think that if it's going to be a 1930s silent film as stated above the soundtrack would have to be that same old vaudevillian piano accompinament, right? Wrong. (This is my life story and it's gonna go down the way I want it.) The soundtrack of my film would be late 1960s avant-garde punk early-grunge rock. I will commission Yoko Ono to compose and perform the soundtrack.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqrHZYdAeOc
Black and white, or color?
I'll go with a dreamscape sort of quality where the entire movie is in black and white except for trees. Any time a tree is seen in a scene in my movie it will be in color.
So let's recap:
This is a 1930s-style silent comedy film, directed by John Landis, with a soundtrack composed by Yoko Ono, shot in black and white, except for trees. Yeah, that sounds good...

The genre would surely be romantic comedy.
Thinking about music i would prefer the all time genius A.R.Rahman to make soft and peppy music.
i would prefer color pictures cause i dont have any grey memories & a colorful tale would be far more enjoyable.

It would be a Obscure Digital Photo like Montage lasting approximately 24 + hours
Soundtrack would match the image on the screen. Music or City sounds but mostly me and people talking.
It would start as Black and White because of my age and progress to match the technology we have now. Maybe end it with a hologram of me saying good night.

There would be a variety of musical styles: traditional jazz, ragtime, Greek, German oom-pah, even classical.
Plenty of color!
I'm not so sure about genre, certainly some sort of comedy. Perhaps a musical comedy of the old style, but more artsy. Or just a regular Nick Park creation. Or at least a cross between say, Nick Park's Wallace and Gromit and the movie Beerfest.

In Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Steven's obsession with the magical world of childhood innocence, as well as the outside forces that inevitably threaten it, mirrors some of my own ideals and experiences.
When Steven made his directing debut in television the TV movie pilot for Rod Serling's "Night Gallery" (NBC, 1970-74). This led to more directing work on such weekly series as "Columbo" (NBC, 1971-78) and "Marcus Welby, M.D. (ABC, 1969-1973). Then when he directed Jaws, the very film that propelled him to A-List Hollywood directing stardom, it came dangerously close to ending his career, he had to quickly learn how to deal with a number of adversities from crew to actors, he quickly pulled it all together to create a blockbuster grossing over $260 Million.
I can relate to a number of attributes and disadvantages that Steven has attached to his life. From a few small successes and some stumbling blocks along the way, to dealing with a multiplicity of adversities, and now the fruits of my labor and determination are paying off.
From innocence to experience he could direct my life as if in some small way, it were his own.
Genre: drama
Soundtrack: Music from Raiders of the Lost Ark
Both Black/White and Color, B&W for the dramatic portions of my life and color for the more accomplished and successes.

Who would you pick to direct the movie of your life?
There have been a few very interesting questions floating around asking you to pick an actor to play the movie of your life, but that would only tell half the tale.
What I'd like to know is who would direct this masterpiece?
What genre would it listed under? (romantic comedy, film noir or tragedy?)
What kind of soundtrack or music would you use?
Black and white, or color?
Most creative votes gets best answer and an extra tip from me!
My movie would have to be directed by Henry Koster in black and white, and would have to include an invisible bunny.

I would like Federico Fellini to direct the movie of my life. I think the film genre might be film noir with a heavy doses of subliminal irony. The soundtrack should be entirely instrumental and done by Radiohead.

Wow! Everyone seems to think that they have really interesting lives to direct. I actually don't know that mine would be all that exciting, so I would want a director who can inject humor into any situation. So my pick would be Judd Apatow. Plus he likes to direct his wife, Leslie Mann, and with her strawberry blondness, she would be perfect to play me!
