"Jai Ho" was performed by Rehman featured with Sukhwinder Singh, Tanvi Shah, & Mahalakshmi Iyer!

Sukhwinder was absolutely NOT there and it is our loss, because it is he who sings the song on the soundtrack, and he who would have put the performance over the top. I don't know who the female singers were with ARR. But they had some trouble getting the US work visas for the Indian performers on such short notice, so I think the female singers were possibly someone living in the US, a couple of unknowns. They were completely unbilled, and there was never any news discussion in India of the female singers traveling to the Oscars; only Gulzar (the lyricist), ARR, and Sukhwinder were supposed to go, and that was botched. ARR has a history of seeking out new talent and he could easily have found South Asian singers in L.A. to help him out. I don't think you actually are very familiar with Indian playback singers if you thought Sukhwinder was there!
