Who is the most famous person you have seen in person? At a concert or just on the street or whatever. Ric Flair would be mine probably.

Oh this is a fun question! When I was a little girl, my dad took us to see the Baltimore Colts during a practice game, and I met all the great Colt favs, like Johnny Unitas, Gary Cuozzo, Don Shula, and Tom Matte. My memory is how big those men were compared to my dad!

I have also met several NASCAR drivers over the years, and get tickled when I see them moderate the races. I remember Rusty Wallace was real nice and once stood around for about 2 hours meeting folks at the paper mill where I worked. He signed everybody's Tshirt and took time to talk "racin."

And now confession time - I once kissed Michael Landon of Little House on the Prairie and Bonanza fame. He was such a hunk! But I was in curlers...he came backstage during a TV taping and we were not ready yet!!

;-)

Asker's Rating:
• As a football fan I have to go with Unitas. I could meet Shula if I wanted to bad enough but he has a bad reputation of being a jerk where he has a house near me.

I've dated a Chippendale. Does that count?;)

I was in a 7-11 the same time as Christopher Williams once (after a concert he was having with a girl and some other famous guy). Didn't know it was him til I left. Guess you don't expect to see anyone famous at a 7-11.

Btw, he was once a singer and was in New Jack City.

Was behind me at an ATM in Savannah, Ga. Years ago while she was filming a movie. My walk home got detoured by 3 blocks as security kept her tourbus thing secure as Ft Knox.

In case you don't recognize her, That's Moe Tucker, from Velvet Underground. I went to school with her kids. One of her sons is the most amazing, yet perverse artist i have ever known. His work was once described by a 9th grade art teacher as "A smorgasbord of genitalia and ham glaze" I still don't get the ham glaze bit.

I went to see The Wiz at the Fox Theater in the mid-1990s and Stephanie Mills (the singer) was playing Dorothy at the time. I was sitting so far back, though, I couldn't see her clearly.

My mother and I also saw Harry Lennix, aka Commander Lock in The Matrix Reloaded, up close. He attended a small play in Atlanta, starring one of my mother's childhood best friends who had invited us. He was sitting in the front row (my mother and I were in the second row), a little to the left of where we were seated. At the time, I didn't realize who he was or thought much of it when my mother told me. She did introduce herself to him, though. Now, whenever I pop my The Matrix Reloaded DVD and see one of his first scene, I think back to that day.

George Bush. It was on a military base, so there were no crowds and no one paid him any attention. I also watched while the garbage was taken out of his Air Force One and put into a dumpster. I could have gone dumpster diving for Presidential stuff if I had wanted.

For me it was a hunting trip with Ted Nugent.
Now for the wife it was when we had dinner with Fabio while we were staying at the same resort on Maui.
I think she would of been happier if I had gone to a different restaurant.

Mine would be Paul Heaton, lead singer of The Beautiful South and also The Housemartins before that.

He's from Hull, my city. I live on a street where there's a little club called The New Adelphi Club (it's been there for 25 years) that's been host to many famous bands, especially BEFORE they were famous. The most recent was Franz Ferdinand, who played there last year even though they've been huge for a few years now! Another one who springs to mind is Paulo Nutini - he played there and was then in the top ten just weeks later ;)

Anyway, back to Paul Heaton - I was brought up on music by The Housemartins and The Beautiful South, so to meet him was a strange experience! I was in The Adelphi one night, on a Monday as it's open mic night and he was there, having a drink and catching up with the owner, also called Paul.

My aunty used to share a house with Paul Heaton when The Beautiful South were still together and he lived in Hull.
