usually a movie is less datailed than his equivalent book, and as I said the movie usually is only "inspired" from the book, maybe is also a sort of reinterpretation made by the producer/director....
so in order to really live yourself the story I suggest you to read the books, also because reading allow you to develop immagination capacity that will brought you to an experience that rarerly could be lived during a movie....
for example personally I didn't have a lot of time for reading.... but I found it: 30-60 minutes before going to bed.. sometimes I don't watch stupid tv programs in order to read and then go to bed to live another great experience ;)
