where does dexter and his family live?

I am doing a paper on dexter and i need to know where he lives.

All that I can find is that he and his family live "in a suburban city" in California. I can't find anything that specifies which one.

"This series is about an unnamed family that lives in a suburban city. Their last names are unknown and their place of employment is unknown."

"The show is set in California. This was seen on Mom's license plate."

"Address: Suburban unnamed city in California"

Dexter lives in Miami, his sister lives there also, his parents are in the cemetery, and his real father lived in Coral Gables before his ashes were scattered around the bowlin alley parking lot grassy area.
