You never know what's going to happen out here - but the chances that it would happen anywhere else - as far as the entertainment world goes - are remote...Only in LA. It's quite a different world out here - but a great world...and way fun.

Are you in LA? If you are, and if you are in the acting/producing/etc business - this would probably totally make sense. I don't know if it's a "formal saying" but it definately is the joke in Southern CA. Think of LA as a really small town...the type of town you might have grown up in. So many amazing, bizarre things happen. For instance - just substitute the people from your regular town with stars, producers, etc. Take everyday situations and blow them a bit out of proportion with people that are very recognizable. You might be eating lunch and William Shatner might bump into you. You might be working in a cafe and a friend of a friend might invite a producer to coffee - that meets you and gets you in for casting call/screen test and you land a big contract...Of course, there are other examples of well known people getting away with ridiculous things - they might not get away with other places in the country....soley because of their notoriety... You never know what's going to happen out here - but the chances that it would happen anywhere else - as far as the entertainment world goes - are remote...Only in LA. It's quite a different world out here - but a great world...and way fun.
