I can't say I have really seena movie about it...but the TC Series, which is out on DVD, Queer As Folk always had me on the edge of my seat...it covered alot of issues had both gender couples it was a great show and I am so very bummed that it is over. But I would highly recommend checking it out! 
'The World Unseen' with Lisa Ray and Sheethal Sheth. A very deep and well acted movie. Some gritty issues addressed
BROKE BACK MOUNTAIN
I feel so lame I totally spaced on Broke Back Mountain...I love that movie...I guess it doesn't register all the way because of the fact they were both married and pretending to be straight...R.I.P. Heath....makes me sad to think of it sometimes too because in my opinion he was a pretty damn good actor!
I don't know if this makes me a jerk, but I liked The Birdcage. Nathan Lane and Hank Azaria were hilarious. It takes a special cast to make Robin Williams the straight (hah!) man.
