Life has been a little thin for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in recent years in terms of acting.

Big box office was expected from their 2004 film "Big Minute" but this was a flop.

Since then Mary-Kate and Ashley haven't featured in very much at all.

Since 2006 their appearances have been restricted to:

Mary-Kate only appeared in the movie "Factory Girl"
Mary-Kate has also a recurring guest role in the third season of the Showtime series "Weeds".
Mary-Kate is also in the 2008 independent film "The Wackness" starring "Ben Kingsley", with whom she shares a passionate kiss.

Mary-Kate and Ashley founded their luxury brand, "The Row" back in 2006.

In 2008, Mary-Kate and Ashley released a book to much critical acclaim entitled "Influence", this was a collection of interviews with various high-profile celebrities.

So it appears that Mary-Kate and Ashley have an exciting career ahead of them but this isn't necessarily behind the camera lens.
