What TV series would you recommend? The quality of the story must be no less then "Weeds" first 3 seasons.
I already watched one or few episodes of these and left completely or just simply disappointed, so don't add these: Frasier, The Office, Mad Men, Entourage, Dexter, True Blood, I.T. Crowd, 24, Dr. House, Family Guy, Lost.
30 Rock I found watchable, but not really the quality series.

I love Big Love on HBO and In Treatment HBO - both are very high quality shows and different from anything else on TV. I have been very happy with these series. Both have been nominated for Emmys!

Thank you. I will definitely check them out. Frasier won most emmys in history, but I find this tv series weak, hardly watchable. I came to this opinion after watching the first few episodes.

I would suggest looking at "Arrested Development". It has got to be one, if not my favorite TV show. It ran a couple of years ago, but then was canceled.
I know what you're thinking, "Why would I watch a TV series that was canceled?"
Because it wasn't the content that got it pulled, it was the lack of marketing. This is really just a great show that will have you rolling on the floor.

I would also suggest the TV show "Life". I just love this one because the main character is just so quirky and interesting.

And finally I would follow up with "Psych". If you like comedy, but not too serious this is for you.

Have fun.

Another vote for 'Life',Kojak reruns,Fringe is X file-ish or Law and Order:CI w/ Vince D'onofrio as Bobby Goren, best I think of the LAO series
I don't know if you'd be familiar with it but the British series 'Black Books' is superb!
I'm in Australia and am unfamiliar with some of the shows you have mentioned above so don't know what category of series you are after.
But, if you have a weird sense of humour and want to laugh so much that you'll be lifted out of any bad mood etc then grab yourself the Complete Series of Black Books on DVD and start watching....
I actually borrowed it from my local Library for FREE.
Black Books is a total crack-up. :))))

Firefly! Give it two episodes and you'll be hooked.
*Great writing
*witty dialog
*interesting them of inviduals vs big government
*sci-fi and western elements
*good mix of action, humor and suspense
*good cast
I also like that it is both episodic and serial (i.e. each episode resolves a story, yet also makes up an important piece of a larger story arc).
Here's the scene that sold me on the show (it will slightly spoil the end of the second episode, but it gives you a great idea of what the lead character is like):

I recommend you just buy it on DVD because you'll want to rewatch it and share it with friends. Make sure you watch the episodes in the order they were intended and not the crazy random order that Fox aired them in or you will get confused (the DVDs tell you when they aired, but just ignore that and go from Disc1 - Disc2 etc and you'll be fine).
Once you are finished, don't forget to watch Serenity, as that is a movie that wraps of the series. If you must see it for free, you can watch it on Hulu: http://www.hulu.com/firefly
I am very much not the type of person to geek out over Hollywood stuff, but this series turned me into a die hard fan and even has me buying collectibles and getting autographs. It's my all time favorite series.
Here is another clip to give you an idea of they often set up a mood with a few lines of dialog and then twist it at the last moment to get you to react:
