What movie should I rent tonight?

I had an exceptionally busy week and I think that I deserve a bit of a break with a movie and a nice dinner.

What movie should I rent?

I just recently rented Knowing with Nicholas Cage and I thought the movie was certainly entertaining and well worth watching. The idea of born with foresight is explored in this movie with interesting results.

There are also a few great special effect scenes that add to the movie smoothly and in no way try to take over the movie.
Check out this plane crash scene and the official movie trailer.

Asker's Rating:
• Knowing FTW

Hope Cage is good in this one.

Thanks :)

I liked the plane scene too. I liked the movie as a matter of fact even though the ending is quite weird and creepy...

I do and I have.

Great suggestion. It was good... and worth the extra buck for the BluRay version.

I have a couple of suggestions.
First is Coraline. This film came out rather under the radar and is based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. It is fantastic. Though written as a young adult novel, It has the ability to appeal to all audiences. It is pretty creepy.

Next, I suggest Duplicity. Once again, this movie did not get the reception it deserved. This one just came out. It is sort of like a modern-day version of The Sting, with some elements of other movies mixed in. I enjoyed this one a lot more than I expected to.

If you're a fan of the classics, Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo never gets old. Every time you watch it, you find something different that you missed the last time. Hitchcock really had feelings about the subject matter of this film, and it shows. You'll be guessing until the very last moment.

Lastly, I provide you with a movie for the more action-minded. The Untouchables is the story of Eliot Ness and his team of treasury officers trying to stop notorius murderer Al Capone. With all sorts of nods to the classics, this will be a boon to any movie buff.

I hope I have given you some ideas. So long

I saw "I love you man". It was pretty funny. I like movies that we both enjoy.

Haven't seen the "Last House on the Left" but it does look interesting.

Thanks.

Sometimes I am in the mood for wine other times cheese . . .

Wine:

The Fall . . . this movie is fantastic.

"In a hospital on the outskirts of 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman begins to tell a fellow patient, a little girl with a broken arm, a fantastical story about 5 mythical heroes. Thanks to his fractured state of mind and her vivid imagination, the line between fiction and reality starts to blur as the tale advances. . . "

It is really cool you switch back and forth between the hospital and the story with great results. The images from the film could be postcards, the uses of color and light are stunning.

Cheese:

Knock off. This movie is fun.

"Action star Jean Claude Van Damme plays a fashion designer who must join forces with a C.I.A. agent to combat terrorism. "
If the above made you grin you might really enjoy this movie, if not avoid it like the plague

This movie has great action, some humor, and . . . well that's about it, but if that is all you are looking for pop this in and have a blast.

I wish I still did it like you did. I have a Netflix account, and rent, but I order movies and don't always follow through with watching them right away. I have Walk the Line sitting on my countertop. So, I'm recommending Walk the Line. It's a great movie!

Equilibrium. Great Sci-Fi Movie. Under rated in my opinion. Christian Bale's performance was more than adequate. Check it out if you have not seen it.

Loved Revolutionary Road, Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Flash of Genius (very interesting story and I love Greg Kinnear in anything).

Doubt exceeded my expectations!
