They played many different songs to cut to break, my favorite was "No Tengo Dinero" by Los Umbrellos. I was totally surprised to hear it playing at the Oscars!
Here's the full length video of "No Tengo Dinero"

Hopefully enough people can remember a song or two and get you a pretty complete collection!

So, I have looked up for you some links off the official Oscars site. Hopefully they can help you find the answer to your questions.
I would try the official Oscar TV coverage "contact" page.
http://www.oscar.com/contact/
There is also an Oscars message board/forum that has a bunch of huge Oscar fans who can help you.
http://forums.oscar.go.com/oscars2009mb
Good luck! I hope someone here can find the answer to your question. If not, please post back here and let me know how the other links went for you.
I'd still check back here, though, over the next few days. It's amazing how thorough many of the people who do Mahalo Answers can be.
p.s. The Oscar message boards/forums are not as, um, polite, as we here at Mahalo Answers are. So you may want to keep that in mind when posting on there. If that sorta thing rolls off you like water off a duck's back, then no problem.
