What are your plans for celebrating the New Year?
Will you be sober in your celebration? Will you stay in or go out? Do you plan to celebrate alone or with others? Will you go to a particular location? Is there any ritual which you always perform at the start of every New Year?

Watch the ball drop and answer some questions on Mahalo Answers ;-)
Have a few at home and NOT drive anywhere. :) Safety first!
My nephew (8 yo) was born on New Years Eve, ever since then we have gotten together at his home.
We celebrate with a bonfire, cook hamburgers, wings, shrimp and anything else we can think of. My nephews race motocross and have a track in their backyard so they get the bikes out. My dad lives nearby and he brings his horses.
When it gets close to midnight out comes the fireworks. No alcohol. Wouldn't be safe with everything going on much less the fact that it is not only a NYE party but it is a kids party. We live in the south so unless it rains or we get a cold front coming through there is no problem being outside.
New Years Day we all go to daddys and eat collards and blackeyed peas. If you eat them the first day of the year it means you will have cash (collards) and change (peas) in the new year.
Happy New Year!

I tell people, I knew I was getting old when I Tivo'd the ball dropping and watched it at 10am the next day :).
As the parents of 3 young ones (6,4,2) it's been so long since we did anything on a New Year's Eve that we don't know where to start. The grandparents have offered to take them this year, so we're actually going out! Current plan is to try out the new Japanese steakhouse in town and catch a movie. If I can keep my wife awake I'll try to get her to watch some Babylon 5 episodes with me :).
