Star Trek : Do you think Data of Star Trek and Robot Daniel Olivaw, of Caves of Steele, are similar?

Did the producers of Star Trek take inspiration from Isaac Asimov's character R Daniel Olivaw?

I think that they are very similar, and I would not be surprised if the producers of Star Trek did model Data on Olivaw.
Both are human like, logical, and flawed in that their programming in that they are unable to understand the nuances of human behavior.
